CLUB RULES 2010-2011

****IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ AND UNDERSTAND “ALL” RULES****

Please read over these rules carefully. We try to spell out everything in the club rules. This is to make sure that everybody is on the same page so that everyone may enjoy their hunt. The president and vice president drafted the set of rules below for the club - each year we will fine tune them to address any issues and the needs of club members.

PROPERTY RULES
1. All club members and authorized guest will abide by state laws & hunting club rules. A violation of state law will terminate your club membership without a refund. A violation of club rules, depending on the nature will cause a warning to be issued, fine, or termination of your membership. These rules are for safety, reaching our management goals, and conditions of land lease. Violations will not be tolerated. All members will sign and receive a copy of these rules to acknowledge they understand the rules. When a fine or fee is imposed for a rule violation it must be paid before member can hunt again. If a membership is terminated for any reason, that member loses all rights to hunt, must leave the property immediately upon termination, and has 30 days to remove any personal property (campers, stands, and other belongings.) from club property. Club members Spouse and Children still in school can hunt on your membership. However, Member MUST be present for Spouse or Children to be on property or hunt. Immediate family members that will hunt on your membership must be named and listed on rules signature page. All members and guests will sign a liability release form, per landowner, prior to accessing property.
2. We use a first come first serve pin in system for Deer season only. Everyone will pin in on the Map Board located in camp prior to entering property. Out of Deer season, you will pin in the block at the top of map to indicate you are on the property. You will not pin a specific area for small game, Hog, or Turkey hunting. These are typically more mobile hunts and will require good communication between members
that are on property at the same time.
3. Lock all gates behind you at all times. Do not leave gates to property open. This invites trespassers, and could become a liability issue.
4. No Duck or Small Game Hunting during Deer season. The exception would be shooting a coyote or hog while deer hunting.
5. No Deer drives will be permitted, unless authorized by President and Vice President.
6. No Nails will be put in trees, no production timber will be damaged by cutting down or topping trees. If not sure check with President or Vice President.
7. No one will cross property lines without permission. If in pursuit of wounded game you must have the other property owners’ permission. Contact President or Vice President if this occurs. Most likely we can obtain permission from landowner. Property lines are clearly marked. If not sure ask first.
8. All garbage will be removed by the person consuming or using materials from the property. If someone else has to remove it you will be fined $50.00
9. No excessive Drinking, ABSOLUTELY NO DRINKING WHILE HUNTING. The use of illegal drugs will result in immediate termination of your membership. Drinking while, or before hunting will terminate your membership. Moderation is expected. A couple drinks in the evening will be acceptable. Any alcoholic consumption must stop at midnight. Carrying a firearm and, or hunting while under the influence of alcohol or drugs is dangerous and illegal.
10. Trucks and Atv’s are to remain on improved roads at all times. Do Not drive vehicles of any kind off of maintained roads. No Playing while on property. You will be held responsible for any damage to property or roads from irresponsible driving. We are required to repair any damage done by the land owner. Absolutely no driving in food plots. Any person found driving in food plots will be fined $100. A second violation will be $200. Repeat offenders membership will be terminated.
11. No Dogs allowed for hunting, of any kind, without prior approval. A trained dog may be used for tracking a deer if necessary.
12. Safety is important! Wear hunter Orange at all times while on property during Deer season. You will identify your target and know what you are shooting before you shoot. Keeping in mind where others are, and where vehicles are on the property. You must be at least 50 yards from any public road or highway while hunting.
13. It is highly recommended that you wear a Safety Harness while climbing or hunting from a stand or tree.
14. Consideration for others hunting is a priority. Do not drive in on someone already hunting. Check pin in board and pin in prior to entering property. We strive to be a close group, and communication prior to hunting and use of the pin in board should prevent others hunting from being interrupted. Members who continually disturb others while hunting will be asked to leave. If you need to retrieve downed game, do so between 11am and 2pm or after dark. Remember if you enter property early you have no way of knowing who entered after you, and who is hunting near you. Please be considerate. Phone numbers of all members will be available and good communication is expected. It is preferred there be no driving on the property between Sunrise and 10am, and again for the last 3 hours prior to Sunset. The exceptions to this will be our east and west boundary roads as they are shared with other leases.
15. The placing of any permanent shooting house, tower, ground box, etc. must be approved by President and Vice President prior to placement. We must have the landowner’s approval prior to placement.
16. Work Days. We have two work days annually. One in the spring and one early fall. You will be given a 30 day notice of these dates. We plant spring and summer food plots and you are encouraged to participate.
17. Any member not renewing membership with club, must remove all personal property (campers, gear, tree stands, etc.) from club lands by June 1st. If not they become club property per this contract with you. You will be charged any fees incurred to remove abandoned campers by Club or landowner.

1. There is a total 2 Buck, 3 Doe limit per paid membership. Deer harvested by family members or guests count toward the paid members harvest total.
2. CLUB MINIMUM FOR BUCKS IS 120 INCHES, AS SCORED BY B&C OR P&Y. Progressive rule applies. Second Buck bigger than the first.
3. WE ARE A TROPHY MANAGED CLUB, AND PRACTICE QDM.
4. Dooly county regulation’s for Bucks is 15” minimum outside spread, however Bucks harvested MUST also meet the club minimum of scoring 120 inches. The only exception will be for a child’s FIRST buck, it only needs to meet county minimum. This is ONLY if they have NEVER taken a Buck before. This only applies to children 15 and under. Spouse and guests must meet the 120” club rule.
5. The 120 inch rule will be “Gross Score” not net.

inches, up to a maximum fine of $400.00 for anything under 100 inches. An example would be (115 inch Buck) which is 5 inches under minimum. Fine would be 5 inches x $20.00 = $100.00 NOTE: IF YOU TRY AND HIDE AN ILLEGAL BUCK YOUR MEMBERSHIP WILL BE TERMINATED.
7. Bucks harvested MUST be measured. You will have the option of having one of the appointed club members measure your deer, or it will need to be measured by an Official Boone and Crockett scorer. An Official Pope and Young scorer may be used as well. Club members that are approved to measure your deer are Allen Waters and Tommy Phillips. If a deer is scored under 120 inches, a second measuring of the rack by another person will be allowed for verification before any fines will be imposed. IF YOU REFUSE TO HAVE A DEER SCORED YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE CLUB.
8. We will keep a harvest log of all game taken on property. There is a mailbox mounted to the pin in board. Log any game taken in the harvest log located in the mailbox. Our landowner is requiring this of us.
9. BUTTON BUCKS HARVESTED WILL COUNT AS ONE OF THE MEMBERS TWO BUCKS. This applies regardless if member, member’s family, or guest harvests the Buck.
