  Big Creek is excited for the opportunity to work with you at the event dated November 13-15th, 2024.

    A Salute to WAFS Veterans will be a small event hosted by Big Creek for a client whose wish is to uplift and thank their 45+ Veteran employees who have served our great country, as well as their company. By participating as a contractor, you are helping fulfill their goal in staffing this event with other veterans and volunteers who genuinely appreciate the heart & dedication of these service members.

   This is a three day event. All staff are expected to arrive, via their own transportation, no later than Wednesday the 13th at 11am, ready to work and set-up ranges, and stations, etc. You will be assigned lodging upon arrival and given until 12:00pm to settle in, prior to reporting to your station to begin set-up. You will be responsible for the breakdown and clean-up of your assigned station(s) and as a group, to clean up and bring the property back to its original state, after event completion. We anticipate this to be a fun and relaxed event, though as a paid contractor, we expect you to do your part. 

   Should you wish to arrive earlier, on the 12th, gates will be open at 4pm to staff. Meals will only be provided from the 13th-15th, therefore you are responsible for feeding yourself should you choose to arrive early. You are welcome to enjoy the property, respectfully, in your time between your arrival and the time you are to report for work on the 13th. Event Details

  • Big Creek Plantation

  • Our 5 bedroom, group cabins are spacious and allow for a more communal style stay, with private amenities.

    On-site lodging is available for staff between November 12th (4pm check-in), until November 16th (10am check-out).

    Upon arrival to Big Creek, please head to The Pavilion to meet with the event coordinators. We will assign your lodging, ATV, and any necessary materials you may need.

  • Meals and lodging will be provided for you on site at Big Creek, beginning with breakfa on the 13th and ending with lunch on the 15th.

  • Most of the staff members will be working any one of our ranges on the 14th, however, you are expected to be on duty at all times, helping set-up/take-down, clean-up, move items, restock ranges, and assist guest and your team mates as much as possible from the 13th-15th.

    You may be tasked with additional duties (by BCP event staff only) outside of your assigned station(s) throughout the three day event. However, you will not be asked to leave your designated range on the 14th.

    Compensation and contracting details will be discussed on a individual bases. Please connect with the lead coordinator for details.

    All staff members will be required to fill out a Form W-9 prior to the event.

  • You may be assigned a Big Creek ATV/Vehicle to use during the event. 

    • In order to drive any motorized vehicle on BCP property, you must carry a legal driver license and abide by all posted speed limit signs. 

    • If you are caught speeding, driving recklessly, or carelessly, you may be asked to leave the property and in doing so will forfeit any additional pay and only be paid for your accumulated time on property.

    • You may be given permission to drive your personal vehicle on property. However, BCP is not responsible for any damages or injury you may succumb to during your time on property.
